Dual Degree MBA/MS Software Engineering
The Charles W. Davidson College of Engineering, in cooperation with the Lucas College of Business, offers a dual-degree graduate program during which students can earn two degrees: an MBA and a Master of Science in Software Engineering with an emphasis in Cloud Computing.
The MBA/MSSE dual-degree program is delivered via a cohort model that has been specially designed for working professionals. The classes and program schedule are predetermined, and all students start and graduate at the same time. Students in the program appreciate having an academic plan laid out for them so they don't have to hassle with curriculum planning. Class sizes are small, and students get individual attention from professors and a dedicated Academic Program Coordinator who acts as an academic adviser throughout the duration of the program.
All classes are located at the Network Meeting Center (Techmart) in Santa Clara. Each course runs for eight weeks, meets one night a week, and two Saturday sessions per class. Classes are delivered year-round in three terms: spring, summer, and fall, with short breaks between classes
There are 18 courses, for a total 52 graduate-level units that fulfill the requirements for earning a degree in both Business and Software Engineering. Students graduate in three years having acquired two master’s degrees upon completion of the program.
