MS Software Engineering, emphasis in Cloud Computing & Virtualization

Overview

Cloud Computing refers to applications and services that run on a distributed network using virtualized resources and enables customers to access computing resources as needed. 

The program intends to prepare students to understand the overall picture of Cloud Computing and Virtualization, their principles, modeling, analysis, design, deployment, and industry-oriented applications with successful cases. Specially, it will cover major solution architectures and enabling technologies.

This program prepares students to master

  • The emerging software development technologies to develop Cloud Computing and Virtualization systems to provide applications and services to the end users

  • The latest software engineering processes where large-scale application design is pre-eminent and system integration is the standard mode of development

The curriculum is developed and co-taught jointly by SJSU faculty members and industry experts of prominent Silicon Valley companies such as Cisco, HP, IBM, Juniper, Microsoft, LinkedIn, Oracle, VMWare, etc.
